Aurora virtual airline Rules


General provisions.

  1. Aurora virtual airline (AVA) is a non-profit association pf aviation laity. It’s not a legal entity and it isn’t engaged in a financial activity.
  2. AVA activity is not related to the really operating company “Aurora airlines” (AA). The usage of the AA denomination, logotype, graphic layout, registration numbers on the AVA resource is connected only with the paying activity on different flight simulators (MFSX, Prepare3D, X-plane etc.) and it doesn’t have any commercial orientation.
  3. AVA doesn’t bear any responsibilities for the usage of AA registered trademarks in the Internet by other participants.
  4. All the materials published on AVA site are meant for virtual flights and can’t be used in a real aviation.


Flights procedure.

  1. Flights are made using flight simulators “X-plane”, “Microsoft Flight Simulator” etc. of different versions compatible with the software, chosen for the flight in IVAO/VATSIM and offline networks.
  2. AVA air fleet includes aircrafts, used really and fictionally in AA. Pilots choose themselves aircraft categories and types for the flight. 
  3. When a pilot decides to make a flight in a network, he/she must follow the rules of the network, flight safety regulations. He/she must refrain from the actions which might negatively impact on the AVA image.
  4. Flight can be made with the AVA schedule, published on the site or they can be unscheduled. Flights with a duration more than 14 hours a day are prohibited.
  5. Flights are taken into account by the automatic system of flight data collection. The following rules should be followed to register the performed flight in the network:
  6. The flight is made from the airport of the pilot location.
  7. The flight is based on the tentatively sent applications to the AVA site
  8. The flight is made with the call sign of the relevant SHU mask.
  9. The Flight plan is compared with the tentatively sent application to the AVA site in relation to paragraphs Departure and Arrival and Aircraft type.
  10. The flight is completed within a radius of 10 kms from the point showing geographic longitude and latitude of the assigned airfield from the Flight plan, or from the similar points of reserve airfields from the Flight plan.
  11. The flight is completed at an altitude, which doesn’t exceed for more than 300m the highest point among the assigned airfields from the Flight plan.
  12. The flight is completed at the speed, which doesn’t exceed the maximum allowable speed while taxiing, taking into account a measuring system error in a network – 50 knots.
  13. The flight is made by a registered AVA member.
  14. The profile of an AVA member wasn’t blocked at the time of a flight.
  15. The Flight plan remarks must contain the OPR/VA AURORA modifier.
  16. During flights in Russia the English language must be used in radio communications.
  17. The flights with the usage of faster time are prohibited and must be deleted.
  18. The flights on wide-body aircraft (B744, B763, A332) less than 1000nm are prohibited.


Pilots’ rights and duties.


A pilot must:

 

  1. Make at least 1 registered AVA flight a week.
  2. Be a confident user of a simulator, with the help of which he/she makes a flight in a network.
  3. Follow closely the AVA news.
  4. Respect other AVA members, carry out the direct instructions of the AVA officials about the cessation of an insulting conduct without delay.
  5. Follow the rules of the flight network, where the flight is being made.
  6. Stop immediately the flight under the AVA call signs if the AVA officials send direct and reasoned instructions until the cause is removed.
  7. Follow the AVA internal regulations.
  8. Inform the AVA director about the planned prolonged absence. In case of the absence of a pilot for more than a month without informing the AVA director, a pilot is automatically fired from AVA.
  9. Get acquainted with all the flight restrictions in VAFS system .

A pilot has the right to:

 

  1. Get the full help concerning the aircraft development, get the full theoretical and practical training to ensure the knowledge acquisition necessary for the flights in IVAO and VATSIM networks.
  2. Get the full consultation on any questions, if these questions are connected with the flight procedure.
  3. Discuss in social networks (VK, WhatsApp, AVA chat) any issue, if this issue doesn’t contain any insults of the AVA pilots.
  4. Take part in AVA in-house activities.
  5. Use any other instruments accessible on the AVA site.
  6. Ask for the protection of his/her interests in case of their violation by either an AVA member or other IVAO or VATSIM network users.
  7. Appeal against unjust decisions of the AVA officials.
  8. Participate otherwise in the AVA work.


Internal rules.

  1. Our airline is a friendly community of people united with a common idea and love for the sky, aviation and virtual flights. We try to do our best to bring happiness and interest for the AVA members.
  2. Flights are made under the SHUXXX call signs (where XXX is a figure notation, issued to a pilot during his/her entry to AVA) and only by the AVA pilots, who passed the entry testing successfully. 
  3. The interaction of AVA members out of the forum is carried out with the “TeamSpeak-3” client on the AVA official voicemail (fastzone.ru, VAK AURORA room) or using AVA Discord (https://discord.gg/C94wXwG).
  4. Issue discussing, communication, debriefing are carried out in the AVA voicemail. The entry testing is also carried out on the AVA voicemail.
  5. AVA is being run by the Director-General/ route manager/ HR-manager/Deputy Director-General.
  6. The joining to AVA is made on the basis of an application, made by an applicant on the vak-aurora.ru site and with the help of the testing, the purpose of which is to determine the level of theoretical and practical knowledge of a candidate.The testing is held by an AVA  HR manager. A candidate may be denied without explanation.


Training flights.

  1. An AVA trainee must have at least 9 hours of flight along the predetermined routes during a training session to get the permission of a certain aircraft usage. A pilot must show the following results during the training flights: maximum 2 flights are allowed with minor deviations. These minor deviations are: output/input of landing light out of existing restrictions, not the output of strobe/taxi/nav.
  2.  In exceptional cases the AVA officials have the right to prolong the training session for a trainee without giving a reason.
  3. Training flight routes can’t be changed.

Violations and a plane crash.

  1. A pilot who made the flight with one of the following violations (speed over 250kts, under FL100, vertical touch over 500 fpm, taxiing speed over 20 kts) first time gets the caution.
  2. A pilot who made a repetitive flight with one of the aforesaid violations is automatically transferred to a training flight on this type of an aircraft, using the criteria of typical training flights.
  3. A pilot who caused a plane crash and who didn’t cancel the flight with passengers:
  4. Is taken off from the regular flights, is transferred to the training flights on this aircraft type on condition of at least 8 training flights in a row with a repeat final test.and demoted by one point.
  5. A pilot who caused a repeat plane crash is automatically fired from AVA.


Conditions of AVA pilots’ promotion.

  1. Every AVA pilot has the right for promotion according to the AVA ranking system.
  2. The promotion is occurred automatically in case of collecting a certain amount of flight hours.
  3. The promotion in a leading position (Deputy Director-General, route manager, HR-manager etc.) is held manually with the endorsement of the AVA Director-General.


Final provisions.

  1. AVA activity is regulated by the provisions of this Rules.
  2. The provisions of this Rules are one and mandatory for all AVA pilots.
  3. Non-compliance of any Rules paragraph causes disciplinary actions until the exclusion from AVA (each case is considered individually).
